Dana was invaluable in our daughter’s college application process. Our daughter’s thoughts on where she wanted to go and what she wanted to study made for a complicated search and application and we’re so grateful to have had Dana to help guide her. Dana helped her develop her college essay ideas and mold them into a finished product that she could be confident in submitting. She especially benefited from Dana’s input on what should be in the application resume, and how to craft it to fit different colleges’ priorities. Parent ideas on college applications are 30 years out of date — it was so essential having someone current and informed helping us, not to mention calming kid vs parent emotions! Mrs. Kanfer helped me so much with writing my college essay and also filling out Common App. Her feedback and revisions throughout each stage of writing my essay was very helpful and useful to create the best version of my essay possible. Dana was wonderful throughout the college application process. My son was procrastinating starting his college applications, filling out Common App and writing his personal statement essay. Dana met with him several times, walked him through Common App, worked with him on setting a timeline to complete each task, and helped to edit his personal statement essay as well as some college specific supplemental essays. Her help really paid off, he has been accepted to 10 out of 10 universities who have released their decisions so far. Also, because he followed the timeline, he was able to meet each university’s Early Action Deadline, helping him to earn a significant amount of Merit Scholarships. I highly recommend Dana to every family going through the application process.
